1. Keep Check on your Diet – Healthy Food for a Healthy Body

  • Include as much as natural food in your diet (Eat more of vegetables and fruits)
  • Avoid processed food as much as you can
  • Add more of whole grains, meat, poultry and high-fiber food in your diet.
  • Women need to an intake of 800-1500 gm of calcium on daily basis. This helps in prevention of osteoporosis.
  • Higher intake of sugar, calories, fat and salt should be avoided.

2. Exercise Regularly – Move your Body

One of the major causes of death of women is heart disease, but it can be avoided by exercising on regular basis. You need to exercise at least 30 minutes per day and if not possible you must not avoid five days a week. Apart from that, aerobic exercises like Jogging, walking, bicycling and swimming are some of the best ways of sweating it out.

3. Keep Distance from Unhealthy Habits – Prevention is better than cure

You should make sure to avoid unhealthy habits like cigarettes, too much of intake of alcohol, and you must also keep yourself away from people who smoke. Taking drugs is a big 'NO' and if you drink alcohol, you should do it in moderation. As per studies women can safely consume, one drink per day which is believed to be 12gm to 14 gm and that will not affect your health.

4. Manage your Stress Mindfully – A Healthy Mind for a Healthy Body

No matter, if she is a mother, a daughter, a wife or a grandmother, a woman has to put in a lot of effort every day. And, if you are a woman, you particularly need to manage some time for yourself, keep time aside to relax irrespective of how much stressful work you are dealing with. The best way to relax your mind is choosing a hobby and working on it. Apart from that, you can also exercise and meditate to relax. You will need to be mentally healthy to keep yourself physically healthy!

5. Protect your Skin from Sun – Handle it with Care

No keeping good care of your skin can result into showing of deadly disease like skin cancer. You can protect your skin by using Sunscreen before going out in Sun and it should be with a Sun protection factor (SPF) of 15. And, no matter if you are using Sunscreen regularly; you must not forget to regularly check your skin for signs of skin cancer. Some of the signs of skin cancer include transformation in shape, size and color of some mole or a birthmark. If you notice any sore taking time in healing, you must immediately consult the doctor.

6. Keep checking yourself for breast Cancer

Once you enter into your 20s, you must start looking out for any changes in your breast and report it immediately to your doctor, if you see any type of unusual transformation. All the women in the age of 40 and above should go for mammogram yearly. Mammogram is the best way of detecting cancer in its early stage. If you follow these basic recommendations, you can definitely keep yourself healthy for long. For each one of us, it is important to follow a healthy regime so as to remain healthy.
